Brucella Antigen for Rose-Bengal Plate Agglutination Test Instruction
The main component of the product is Brucella S2 strain (CVCC 70502) or S2 and A99 strains (CVCC 70502 and CVCC 70203).
Plate agglutination reaction occurs with 1:45 diluted positive serum reference standard, and does not occur with 1:55 diluted positive serum reference standard.
Uniformity suspension. When place for a long time, the upper part is clear, and there is a little sediment at the bottom.
Used for Rose-Bengal Plate Agglutination Test to diagnose brucellosis.
Take 0.03ml test serum and 0.03ml t antigen, mix, and observe the result within 4 minutes. When appear +,the result is evaluated as positive. For animals with positive reactions, further complement fixation tests or other diagnostic tests must be performed.
Criteria for agglutination
++++ Large aggregated areas or particles appear, and the liquid is completely transparent.
+++ Obvious agglomerated particles, and the liquid is almost completely transparent.
++ Partly obvious agglomerated particles, and the liquid is slightly transparent.
+ Little agglomeration, and liquid turbidity.
- No coagulation, uniform liquid, turbidity.
(1) Shake it well before use. Do not use it when there are contaminated or shaken clots.
(2) The antigen and serum should be left at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes before testing.
